Power to the Powder!

Matthew Morison earlier today at Telluride, Colorado

Earlier today, two Canadians took part in the Snowboard FIS Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup at Telluride, Colorado.  The two of them still gunning for a spot on Team Canada's snowboard team.  (I'm rooting for Matt Morison, Jeff Batchelor, and Mercedes Nicoll!)

Matthew Morison (depicted above) won gold in the alpine parallel giant slalom beating Benjamin Karl of Austria.

Other Canadian Jasey Jay Anderson placed one spot above fellow Canadian Michael Lambert with a time of 1:09.41 to Lambert's 1:09.71

Kimiko (Kimi) Zakreski of Calgary placed 3rd in her event behind Switerland's Fraenzi Maegert-Kohli and Germany's Amelie Kober.
