Die Mannschaft

Against my better judgement, I am going to post about the German national football team.

Why am I doing this if I don't like them?  I'm doing it because I like to know who I (Spain) am up against.  And as the FIFA World Cup nears, crunch time is neccessary.

The German NT's coach, Joachim Löw, has announced the WC training squad that will meet this coming Sunday.

The team will meet at Stuttgart, Germany on Sunday and will train for 3-days.

Rene Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)
Manuel Neuer (FC Schalke 04)
Tim Wiese (Werder Bremen)

Dennis Aogo (Hamburger SV)
Andreas Beck (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim)
Jerome Boateng (Hambuger SV)
Arne Friedrich (Hertha Berlin)
Robert Huth (Stoke City FC)
Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich)
Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen)
Marcel Schaefer (VfL Wolfsburg)
Serdar Tasci (VfB Stuttgart)
Christian Traesch (VfB Stuttgart)

Christian Gentner (VfL Wolfsburg)
Thomas Hitzlsperger (VfB Stuttgart)
Aaron Hunt (Werder Bremen)
Marcell Jansen (Hamburger SV)
Sami Khedira (VfB Stuttgart)
Toni Kroos (Bayer Leverkusen)
Marko Marin (Werder Bremen)
Thomas Mueller (Bayern Munich)
Mesut Oezil (Werder Bremen)
Simon Rolfes (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich)
Piotr Trochowski (Hamburger SV)

Cacau (VfB Stuttgart)
Mario Gomez (Bayern Munich)
Patrick Helmes (Bayer Leverkusen)
Stefan Kiessling (Bayer Leverkusen)
Miroslav Klose (Bayern Munich)

Michael Ballack would be invitied, but Chelsea FC have a game against Birmingham FC during the training period.  Lukas Podolski and Heiko Westermann would have been part of it, if they weren't sustaining injuries right now.
