Footy Match of the Day

Liverpool FC v. Bolton Wanderers @ Anfield
2-nil FT

If you haven't been paying attention, this win over the Trotters brings us within a point of the top 4 and a point within the Tottenham Hotspur.

37' of the mark, Dirk Kuyt scored his third PL goal of the season to put the Reds team up 1-nil.  There were a couple of good moments from the Trotters, but they were just unlucky and we were just that much better.

Then in at the 70', Bolton scored - an OG (own goal)!  Thank you Kevin Davies.

The squad that hit the pitch today was the team I had missed for so long. From the beginning of the season, I have been missing my Reds for a while. There were times when they came back for short appearances, but soon disappeared.  Now, I'm hoping they'll stick around this time.

Our trade month acquisition, Sotirios Kyrgiakos, made some very good saves off the goal-line and saved our tushies from yet another draw.

Of course, there are always the off-pitch issues bothering us.  We love our squad, we love our gaffer, but we really don't like our owners.

Man of the Match: Dirk Kuyt
