  • Trade Talk (the Footy way): FC Nuernberg officially signed Andreas Ottl on a 6-month loan deal.  FC Schalke signed Edu and on loan and ended Lubos Hanzel's loan deal.  And Alexander Baumjohann has left Bayern Munich for FC Schalke.  (I find it kinda funny how everyone is leaving Bayern Munich)
  • Team Canada update: Travis Hamonic will not be in the finals and will be out for 6-8 weeks of the season with a separated shoulder.  It sucks!  I liked Hamonic and he was half of our shut-down!  This just sucks!
  • This had me up in arms!  It's a New Year's Eve repeat!  Team USA defeated Sweden 5-2 to advance to the finals.  And I wanted to face Sweden again!  This means that we (Canada) are facing them (USA) for the second time this tournament for the GOLD MEDAL!  What a riot...
  • Injury report: (Toronto Maple Leafs) Mikhail Grabovski will be out 6-8 weeks with a fractured wrist.  (Toronto Maple Leafs) Wayne Primeau will be out 2-4 weeks with a knee injury.  Anna Goodman suffered a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in her knee at her first run in the World Cup slalom earlier today.  Sucks for Canada's Olympic ski team with all these bloody injuries!
