Les nouvelles

  • Playoff update!  It's not only the NHL today!
    • NHL
      • San Jose/Detroit: Detroit gave up a 2-goal lead, and got themselves into a hole where Sharks lead the series 3-0.  This ain't the team from the past 2 years. (Then again, no Chris Osgood in net.)
      • Pittsburgh/Montreal: Canadiens were out-shot and eventually lost in a 2-0 battle to the Penguins.  Pittsburgh now leads the series, 2-1.
    • AHL
      • Hamilton/Abbotsford: Hamilton took a 3-2 win over the Heat to go up 2-1 in the series.
      • Chicago/Texas: Chicago handed a devastating 5-3 blow to Texas and now leads the series 2-1.
    • QMJHL Finals
      • Moncton/Saint John: Saint John took a 6-4 win over the Wildcats to avoid the big hole, and make the series 2-1 for Moncton.
    • OHL Finals
      • Barrie/Windsor: After a very undisciplined game 3, Windsor took a 6-2 win over the Bolts and made the sweep to go onto defending their title as Memorial Cup champions!
    • WHL Finals
      • Calgary/Tri-City: Calgary handed Tri-City their third loss in a 4-1 win over the Americans and now they go up 3-0 in the series.
  • In about 2 days, the 2010 IIHF World Championship starts.  But before that, we've got exhibition games!  Today, Canada suited up in an exhibition game with Germany and Canada took a 4-1 win over the Germans.  Scoresheet
  • For you Gooners, Arsenal FC fans, and La Furia Roja fans (that's me!), raise your glasses to toast one of the best you've got, Cesc Fabregas!  The young Spaniard turned 23 today and what he looks forward to doing is going for the World Cup come June!
