  • Playoff update:
    • NHL
      • Philadelphia/Boston: Flyers scrambled together to see another day to play as the recently returned Simone Gagne scored the game-winner in the 5-4 OT victory, and makes the series 3-1 for Boston.
      • Chicago/Vancouver: Hrmm... 6-4 loss for the Canucks.  Chicago leads 3-1.  There you go.  Suck it up (like I am) and live on.
    • AHL
      • Worcester/Manchester: After going into OT, Manchester got the 2-1 OT win to win the series 4-2.  Now they prepare to face the current Memorial Cup champions, Hershey Bears.
      • Texas/Chicago: Texas added an EN to get the 5-3 win and levels the series, 2-2.
    • QMJHL Finals
      • Saint John/Moncton: Looking to get level, Saint John won the match 3-2 in OT to make the series 2-2.
    • WHL Finals:
      • Calgary/Tri-City: After missing the sweep in Calgary, the Hitmen rallied back for a 4-1 win and becomes the WHL champions in 5 games.
  • IIHF World Championship score update:  USA and Germany opened the Championship earlier today.  It went to OT and that was where Germany scored the goal needed to go 2-1 over USA for the first time.  IIHF story  
  • More World Championship news: Team Canada will be captained by the veteran Ryan Smyth!
  • WHL news: Regina Pats' GM Bren Parker has stepped down from his position.  For 15 years, he helped shaped the Pats into the team that they are.  For his hits as a GM click here
  • More reason to watch "The Ultimate Fighter" season 12: Georges "Rush" St-Pierre will be a coach on the much watched/must-watch Spike TV telly series about up-and-coming MMA.  Apparently the winner of this season's Ultimate Fighter will get a shot at GSP and his title belt.  TSN release 
  • The MLS will continue on expanding.  The MLS has awarded Montreal and the Montreal Impact an MLS team in 2012.  The Vancouver Whitecaps will be part of the MLS in 2011.  The Montreal Gazette explains
