  • Playoff updates!
    • NHL
      • Pittsburgh/Montreal: Montreal staved off elimination with a 4-3 win over the Pens, and live to see a game 7.
      • Philadelphia/Boston: After having to replace Brian Boucher with Michael Leighton, the Flyers went on to win 4-0 and Leighton received his first playoff shutout and win in his first playoff game!  Woah, eh?  But he will share the shutout with Boucher.  Boston still leads their series 3-2.
    • AHL
      • Abbostford/Hamilton: Hamilton looked to end this series and continue on to the conference finals.  That's just what they did with a 4-0 win.
    • QMJHL Finals
      • Saint John/Moncton: Moncton won 7-4 against the Sea Dogs and will be going on to the Memorial Cup!
  • IIHF score updater!
    • USA/Denmark: USA have dropped to 2-0 in the tournament with a 1-2 lost to the Danes. IIHF truth

    • Germany/Finland: The Finnish put a finish to the game with a 0-1 win.  IIHF coverage
    • Latvia/Canada: Predictably, Canada won against Latvia 6-1, but lost their Captain Ryan Smyth to a broken foot.  Smyth has been flown back to Canada to be taken care of and will not be able to compete in the rest of the WHC.  Jordan Eberle (the alternate) will not be able to check in until the second round.  IIHF covering
  • The 2011 Memorial Cup will be held in Mississauga, ON with the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors being the host team.  I guess that means I probably won't be buying a ticket.
  • A happy birthday is in order!  This one is sent to Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks!  This Olympic Gold Medalist turns 25 today.  Hopefully he enjoys his off-season, though he may wish he was in the playoffs or the WHC at this moment.
