  • Injury report: in the game against the Caroline Hurricanes, New York Rangers' defenceman Marc Staal suffered a twisted knee in the first period and forced him out of the rest of the game.  He will further go some tests to see to what extent his injury is.  (Source: Twitter, @thenyrangers)

  • Manchester United and Patrice Evra have come to an agreement that Evra will stay with the Red Devils until the end of the 2013-2014 season.  The Guardian
  • Business news: the NHL's Board of Governors have allowed the Buffalo Sabres to be purchased by Terry Pegula, who aims to keep the team in Buffalo and see the city have a championship team.  Sabres
    • Continuing with the business theme, the NHL have come to an agreement with Molson Coors (Canada) and MillerCoors (USA).  Molson Canadian will become the official beer of the NHL for the next seven years.  NHL
