Hockey Playoff Update


  • CHL playoff update:
    • OHL
      • After trailing the series for so long, the Windsor Spitfires grab a shutout win it on Sunday to win the series 4-2 against the Saginaw Spirit, and now practice to play the Owen Sound Attack
      • Owen Sound Attack will play the Windsor Spitfires for the OHL Western Conference final. The Mississauga Majors are set to play the Niagara Ice Dogs in the OHL Eastern Conference final.
    • QMJHL
      • Shawinigan Cataractes took a win against the Quebec Remparts and push for a Game 7 while the series is tied at 3-3
      • Lewiston MAINEiacs double-up the Montreal Junior to win the series 4-2
      • Gatineau Olympiques defeat the Drummondville Voltigeurs and go on to the QMJHL semi-finals after winning the series 4-2
      • St. John Sea Dogs await the three other teams that will join in the QMJHL semi-finals
    • WHL
      • Portland Winterhawks doubled the Kelowna Rockets in score to win Sunday's game, and to win the series 4-2. Onto the WHL Western Conference finals they go!
      • Spokane Chiefs gain a step to the WHL Western Conference finals in the OT period as they go up 3-2 against the Tri-City Americans
      • In the WHL Eastern Conference finals, the teams are all set and ready. Who are those teams? The Medicine Hat Tigers and the Kootenay Ice
  • AHL playoff update:
    • East:
      • After winning Game 1, the Charlotte Checkers dropped Game 2 to the Hershey Bears and are now tied 1-1 in the series
      • Manchester Monarchs grabbed an OT win against the Binghamton Senators and now lead the series 2-1
      • Connecticut Whalers may have won Sunday's game, but the Portland Pirates still lead the series 2-1
      • Norfolk Admirals hold a big 2-0 series lead over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins
    • West:
      • After failing to win Game 1, the Manitoba Moose push the Lake Erie Monsters to OT and grab a win to make the series 1-1
      • Hamliton Bulldogs have a big 2-0 series lead against the Oklahoma City Barons
      • Milwaukee Admirals and the Texas Stars are in a series tie at 1-1
      • Houston Aeros have a 2-0 series lead over the Peoria Rivermen
  • NHL playoff update:
    • East:
      • An eventful game in Madison Square Garden, the New York Rangers pull out a win to cut the series to 2-1 in favour of the Washington Capitals
      • As the series heads to Buffalo, the Buffalo Sabres and the Philadelphia Flyers are tied at 1-1 in the series
      • Heading to the French-Canadian province, the Montreal Canadiens lead the Boston Bruins 2-0 in the series
      • Going to the Sunshine State, the Pittsburgh Penguins are tied in the series at 1-1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning
    • West:
      • Nashville Predators took a hard-fought win in Music City to go up 2-1 against the Anaheim Ducks
      • Coming from behind, the Vancouver Canucks take a huge 3-0 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks! Game 4 is going to be interesting...
      • Detroit Red Wings have a significant 2-0 series lead over the Phoenix Coyotes as the series heads to the desert
      • In the California match-up, the LA Kings and the San Jose Sharks are tied at 1-1 in the series
