  • UEFA Champions League update:
    • After defeating Shakhtar Donetsk 1-6 in aggregate goals, FC Barcelona are into the semi-finals
    • Winning 3-1 in aggregate, Manchester United continue onto the semis, leaving Chelsea FC in London
    • FC Schalke upset last year's Champions League champions, Internazionale, 7-3 in aggregate and move onto the semi-finals
    • Real Madid stop every shot from the Tottenham Hotspur to continue to the semi-finals on a 5-0 aggregate win
  • Hockey Canada has announced who will be playing for Team Canada in this year's IIHF World Championship! Roster
  • Baseball player Barry Bonds has been convicted by a federal jury today. The jury convicted him to a single charge of obstruction of justice. The jury failed to reach a verdict on his usage of steroids and human growth hormone and lied to a grand jury about it. TSN
  • LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for his derogatory gay term over a ref's call. NBA
  • Big announcement from the AHL (American Hockey League)! The AHL has decided to cut down on the amount of games in a season. The normal 80 games a season will be reduced to 76 games a season come next season. One more week will be added to the length of the season so there won't be back-to-back-to-back games. AHL

    • OHL
      • Niagara Ice Dogs take a big win over the Oshawa Generals to go up 3-1 in the series
      • Owen Sound Attack defeat the Plymouth Whalers and sweep them 4-0 in their series
      • Mississauga Majors took the game to OT to sweep the Sudbury Wolves 4-0 in the series
      • Saginaw Spirit continue to lead the Windsor Spitfires 2-1 in the series 
    • QMJHL
      • St. John Sea Dogs win it in OT to go up 3-1 in the series
      • Lewiston MAINEiacs take a 4-1 win over the Montreal Junior to go up 3-1 in the series
      • Quebec Remparts take a win on Wednesday night to take the series 3-1 in their favour
      • Gatineau Olympiques win it big to tie the series against the Drummondville Voltigeurs at 2-2
    • WHL
      • Kootenay Ice take a solid 5-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades to sweep them 4-0 under the rug
      • Red Deer Rebels avoid the sweep but still remain down 3-1 against the Medicine Hat Tigers
      • Portland Winterhawks win Wednesday's game to go up 3-1 in the series against the Kelowna Rockets
      • Spokane Chiefs keep their 2-1 lead over the Tri-City Americans
  • And the one most of y'all want, an NHL playoff update:
    • East
      • Pittsburgh Penguins take a shutout win to go up 1-0 in the series against the Tampa Bay Lightning
      • New York Rangers fell in OT to drop the first game against the Washington Capitals who now lead the series 1-0
    • West
      • Detroit Red Wings shows the Phoenix Coyotes the team that has made the post-season 20 seasons in a row to go up 1-0 in the series
      • Vancouver Canucks grabbed a shutout win over the Chicago Blackhawks and take the 1-0 series lead 
      • Nashville Predators round up the night with a win over the Anaheim Ducks and lead the series 1-0
