  • Gossip: Chelsea forward Didier Drogba is set to marry Lalla Diakite - again. The couple were married over a decade ago but it was a small affair and muted. Now that Drogba has the cash-flow, he's giving his girl a party to make her happy! The Sun
  • IIHF World Championship update: Now that the qualification round is over, we have our quarterfinals all set up! Czech Republic will play the USA, Sweden will play Germany, Finland will play Norway, and Canada will play Russia. That latter game is going to be INTENSE (hopefully)! Games start on Wednesday, the 11th.
  • CHL playoff update:
    • OHL Finals
      • In a battle for standings, the Owen Sound Attack and the Mississauaga Majors are tied 2-2 in the series
    • QMJHL Finals
      • St. John Sea Dogs won Game 3 in shutout fashion against the Gatineau Olympiques and now lead the series 2-1
    • WHL Finals
      • Fighting to come out as WHL champions, the series between the Portland Winterhawks and the Kootenay Ice is tied at 1-1
  • AHL playoff update - Round 2
    • East:
      • All set and ready to go, the Charlotte Checkers play the Binghamton Senators in the Eastern Conference finals of the AHL
    • West
      • It took three OT periods but the Hamilton Bulldogs took a big 2-1 win against the Manitoba Moose to win the series 4-3 and to go onto the AHL Western Conference Final
      • Having forced a Game 7, the Milwaukee Admirals are tied 3-3 in the series with the Houston Aeros
  • NHL playoff update - Round 2
    • East
      • Surprising many, the Tampa Bay Lightning will play the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Finals. Will the Bolts continue their Cinderella run?
    • West
      • Vancouver Canucks finished the series much like the games against the Nashville Predators - close. The Canucks become the first of the West to go to the Conference finals with a 4-2 series win!
      • Coming back from behind and extending the series, the San Jose Sharks play the Detroit Red Wings in Game 6 with the series at 3-2 in San Jose's favour
