  • IIHF World Championship: Finland has become the 2011 IIHF World Championship gold medalist with a 6-1 win over silver medalists Sweden. Aside from that, Czech Republic won the bronze medal in a 7-4 win over their rival Russia.
  • The city of Toronto has finally won something! The Toronto Rock of the NLL (National Lacrosse League) won the Champion's Cup against the Washington Stealth. TSN 
  • West Ham United (of the Premier League) have parted ways with manager Avram Grant and will be on the search for a new one for the upcoming season! West Ham United
  • CHL playoff update:
    • OHL Finals
      • After forcing an extra period in Game 7, the Owen Sound Attack are crowned OHL Champions after a 4-3 series win against the Mississauga Majors
    • QMJHL Finals
      • After two OT periods, the St. John Sea Dogs defeat the Gatineau Olympiques and win the series 4-2 to become the 2011 QMJHL Champions
    • WHL Finals
      • Defeating the Portland Winterhawks 4-1 in the series, the Kootenay Ice head on to Mississauga for the Memorial Cup as WHL Champions
  • AHL playoff update:
    • Eastern Conference Finals
      • Surprising a few, the Binghamton Senators lead the Charlotte Checkers 2-0 in the series
    • Western Conference Finals
      • Houston Aeros took another win against the Hamilton Bulldogs and now lead the series 2-0
  • NHL playoff update:
    • Eastern Conference Finals
      • Starting off the conference finals, the Tampa Bay Lightning surprised many with a 5-2 win over the Boston Bruins to take a 1-0 series lead
    • Western Conference Finals
      • Coming from behind, the Vancouver Canucks took Game 1 over the San Jose Sharks and now lead the series 1-0
